Please don’t go, I’ll eat you whole

Fat face picture from the day I caught 'Catching Fire' with bestie.

'Catching Fire' was fantastic. I found myself on the verge of crying, but resisting, throughout the entire movie. It is such a depressing movie. I think people are really really highly masochistic. We know that the movie will depress us, yet for some strange unfathomable reason we still watch it anyway.

Can't wait for exams to be over and escape overseas hahaha. Hate being straddled in the middle of exam period like that.

Been having mad cramps these few days, and had to sustain on Panadol Extra. Had insomnia the other night, which is really extremely rare for a pig like myself. Couldn't sleep the entire night, so the next day I immediately scanned through the ingredients in Panadol Extra and discovered that it contains caffeine in it -.-

"Welfare pack" from my special boy. He said he wanted to buy my favourite salted caramel flavor but it wasn't available.

Nom nom nom.

Never Heal Myself

I never wanted anyone to say that I had hidden myself
In disguise
Please don't leave me lonely tell me all the ways to make myself right
In your eyes

But I can never heal myself
If not for
Never heal myself
If not for you

Korea Day 17 and 18: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Tower and Karaoke

*This post is filled with loads of pictures*

Day 17

Breakfast!

One of the best ice cream I've tasted in Korea.

Met up with Seeyi's and my Korean buddies, who brought us to eat this lovely meal of Cheesy Chicken and Rameon. LOOK AT THE CHEESE.

After lunch, we headed to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Incidentally, they had this "thing" near the palace where tourists could wear the traditional King's outfit and take pictures. We shamelessly decided to participate.

Finally arriving at Gyeongbokgung Palace!

We were super embarrassed about going up to these stationary guards who had to remain still while we pranced around like starstruck maniacs hahaha.

Oh and if I didn't remember wrongly, we were there right when they were engaging in a change of positions. So basically there was this whole ceremony where this main guard (the one in red and yellow) started walking towards each of the other guards, checking their attires and fixing it, then walking back to his position. I distinctly remember filming it down but I guess I lost the video.

The mountains in Korea are really really gorgeous, embraced in a mysterious fog.

Next, we then headed to Namsan Tower!

Super long slope leading up to the tower. We were suffering from a major lack of stamina, panting as we struggled to climb up haha. This is what you get for not exercising zzz.

Lovelocks!

We were hungry and greedy people who saw Churros and went crazy.

The lovelocks are one of the distinctive features of the Namsan Tower. Couples would go there specially to seal their love on these locks. The scenery and decoration there was absolutely beautiful.

And now we began our slow descent.

Day 18

Breakfast!

Peppero snack in between lessons.

Karaoke time!!! This karaoke was fantastic. The exterior of it looked right out of a fairytale book.

And look at the interior!!!

My throne hahaha.

After our karaoke session, we went to meet up with Joe and Genesis!

These crackers dipped in honey were amazingly delicious.

This was some sort of novelty dish. Kimchi with meat wrapped up inside.

Tried Makgeolli (Rice Wine) for the first time!

Seafood pancake heh.

The lighting is horrible, but I'm glad I met up with these two lovely people.

Till next time! ~
